William James “Jim” Ledford,60, passed into the arms of our Lord, Wednesday, August 04, 2021, surrounded by his family. Jim had been ill for several months before his passing.
He was born on April 20, 1961 in Kansas City Missouri to the late William Wallace, Jr. & Betty Lou (Wecker) Ledford.
He is survived by his wife, Lori A. (Ousterhout) Ledford and step daughter, Jessica Powers of the home, his children, Haley Hubbard (JD) of Leavenworth, KS; Kendall Ledford of Coco Beach, Florida, and Kinsey (Anthony Cupps) Ledford of Springfield, MO; 2 step daughters, Jamie Malchose (Jared) of Kansas City, MO; Stacey (Thomas) of Texas, ten grandchildren, his step father, Farrell L. Ewens of Kansas City, MO; and his half sister, Tracy L. (Anthony) Ewens-Taylor of Holt, MO.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Denise Y. “Dee-Dee” (Ledford) Chick.
Jim was a 1979 graduate of North Kansas City High School. He served in the U.S. Army prior to receiving an honorable discharge. He worked for Missouri Pacific/Union Pacific Railroad for 38 years, retiring in August 2017.
He enjoyed being with his family and visiting with several Amish families who lived nearby.

Private services honoring Jim's life were held at the Memorial Park Cemetery. Committal prayer and burial followed.
