Obituary

William Franklin “Billy” Meachum, 58, of Moberly, passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2022.  He was born, January 10, 1964, In Lebanon, MO to the union of Robert and Mary (McKinney) Meachum and they preceded him in death. 

He is survived by 2 sisters, Glenda Meachum-Cain and her husband Max Cain of Lee’s Summit, MO and Linda Green and her husband Donnell Green of Bonner Springs, KS, 4 nieces Tareva, Naomi, Rachel and Tiona, a nephew, Daniel, 2 great nephews Daniel Jr. and Jonathan, Jr., Uncle Roscoe Robinson, Moberly, MO, Aunt Oreatha Jobert, Lebanon, MO and other relatives and friends.  

Billy received his education at Moberly High School, Moberly Area Community College and Baker University in Baldwin City, KS. He was a Volunteer Coordinator with Safe Passage and a Site Supervisor Security Guard with GE in Moberly, MO. He also was a substitute teacher in the Moberly school district.  

He enjoyed being around family and friends, playing and watching sports, baking, and cooking. He will be truly missed and always and forever, will remain in our hearts.

Words of comfort and support were shared with the family at a visitation that was held at the Cater Funeral Home Chapel.  Funeral services honoring Billy’s life followed.  Committal prayer and burial took place at Oakland Cemetery.
