Wanda F. Graves, 92 of Moberly, went home to be with Jesus Friday, February 13, 2026. She was born November 8, 1933, in Madison, MO to Byron and Helen (Dailey) Alexander.
She married Frank Graves November 16, 1952, and he preceded her in death November 27, 2017. Also preceding her in death were her parents, sister Utha Elsberry, 2 brothers Franklin and Bobby Alexander and a son-in-law Gary Fruits.
Wanda dedicated more than 40 years of service to the Randolph County Farm Bureau before retiring where she made lifelong friends and connections. Her loyalty and presence made a lasting impact on her members and the many people she worked with throughout her career.
Outside of work, Wanda embraced the simple joys that made life meaningful. She and Frank shared a passion for bowling in Moberly, where they spent many happy years competing alongside their friends. Together, they also traveled across the country to bowl in tournaments, creating cherished memories and lasting friendships wherever they went.
Wanda also enjoyed going out to eat and socializing around town. She had a gift for being a pillar of guidance not because she spoke often, but because when she did her words mattered. She truly enjoyed being in the company of family, friends and neighbors. She loved watching and attending basketball games, and taking care of those she loved. Caring for others came naturally to Wanda, and she was always ready to lend a helping hand.
Known by her family and friends for her quiet strength, those that knew her understood that beneath her quiet exterior, was a deeply caring heart and a fierce loyalty to her family and friends. Wanda will be remembered for her kindness, her generous spirit, and the joy she found in sharing life with others. Her presence will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Survivors include her daughter Deborah “Debbi” Graves-Fruits of Lee’s Summit, MO and a granddaughter Lauren Fruits (Christi & Finnegan Farnan) of St Joseph, MO, 2 brothers Larry Alexander and Keith Alexander, nieces, nephews, a brother-in-law Richard Elsberry, a sister-in-law Betty Alexander, other relatives and friends.
Words of comfort and support were shared with the family at a visitation held, Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at the Cater Funeral Home. Funeral services honoring and celebrating Wanda’s life were held Wednesday, February 18, 2026, in the Cater Funeral Home Chapel. Committal prayer and burial followed at the Oakland Cemetery.
