Walter Daniel “Danny” Griffith, 77, of Moberly, passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2025, peacefully with family at his side. He was born, February 26, 1948, in Dennison, TX and raised in Sherman, TX, to the union of James Alson “Barney” and Joyce Doris (Stewart) Griffith.
Danny worked at ConAgra for many years before retiring. He enjoyed fishing every chance he got, he also liked going deer hunting, and he was an avid reader, and a good western was his favorite.
He is survived by his children, Bill Conklin and his wife Sheryl, Belinda Bandfield both of Moberly, Kae Bagby and her husband Rich, of Monroe, NC., Tammi Bunch and her husband Jess of Columbia, 8 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, a sister-in-law, Dora Dennis, nieces, nephews, other relatives and the staff at Moberly Dialysis Clinic for the past 6 years and his many friends.
He had wonderful caregivers his last 6 days of life while staying at Caring Hearts and Hands of Columbia, a hospice house.
Danny met and married the love of his life, Anna Mae Justus, July 6, 1976, and she preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his parents, a son, Gene Lee Conklin, a brother Al Griffith, his Aunt Rae Allen and her husband Dale, Cousin Neesie Parr and her husband Bob.
In lieu of flowers memorials to Caring Hearts and Hands of Columbia would be appreciated.
A Funeral Service honoring and celebrating Danny’s life took place graveside at the Oakland Cemetery. Committal prayer and burial followed.
