Obituary

Virgil Lee “Virgil” Wamsher, Jr. 73, of Moberly, passed away Wednesday, September 6, 2023. He was born, June 13, 1950, in Kansas City, KS. to the union of Virgil Lee, Sr. and Darlene (West) Wamsher.

He met Karen Childers and they married May 14, 2006, in Kansas City, Mo and she survives of the home, also surviving are grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and a brother.

Virgil was a veteran of the US Army and had received his honorable discharge. Prior to retirement he was an over the road truck driver and before his driving career he was a self-employed heating and cooling contractor. Virgil also enjoyed riding his Harley motorcycle, fishing, and flying.

In lieu of flowers memorials to the God’s Warrior Group would be appreciated.

Military Honors, committal prayer and burial took place at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery, Jacksonville.
