Teresa M. Coonce, 66 of Moberly passed away Friday, February 11th, 2022. She was born March 14, 1955, in Puerto Rico to the union of Howard & Phyllis Mae (Crocker) Gelina.
She is survived by her husband Mel of the home, children, Melvin G. Coonce and family of Clever, MO, Christy West and family of the state of Oklahoma, Mel Coonce and wife, Amy of Blue Springs, Tammy Bailon of Blue Springs, Dan Coonce and wife, Tabby and family of Raymore, MO, Nathan Gelina and wife, Jennifer and family of Moberly, and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is also survived by brothers, Paul Gelina and his wife, Eve of Jacksonville, FL, and Edward Gelina of Moberly, sisters Sharon Vanderpool and Kathy Ellis, both of Lebanon, MO as well as a host of cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a son 1st Lt Mark C. Gelina.
Teresa worked many years at North Village and Walmart before retiring. She was a woman of grace and courage with a stubborn streak showed up over the years. If she was here, she wouldn’t want us to grieve, but instead to remember happy memories and joyful experiences.
Words of comfort and support were shared with the family during a visitation held in the Cater Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services honoring and celebrating Teresa’s life followed. Committal prayer and burial took place at the Sugar Creek Cemetery.
