Sharon Kay Taylor, 75, of Moberly, MO passed away on Monday, February 12, 2024, at the University of MO-Columbia surrounded by her family.
Sharon was born on October 23, 1948, in Brookfield, MO, to Henry George Smith and Eleanor “Jean” Clemans Smith.
Sharon was a strong woman who loved her children and grandchildren, always putting their needs before hers. She will be remembered as being “Grandma Didi” as she was called by her grandchildren.
Sharon leaves behind two daughters, Lisa (Joey) Finnell and Michelle (Donald) Saunders of Moberly. Two brothers James Smith, Springfield, MO, and Eddie (Debbie) Smith, Brookfield, MO. Grandchildren Jasmine Schwab, Lauren (Justin) Connaway, Jesse Perkins, Emily Perkins, Hannah (Tyler) Huffman, Maddi Finnell (Kenny Stone), and Tyler Finnell. Great-grandchildren Treighton, Remington, Analaya, Ryelynn, Ashton, Jaeliegh, and Mila. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
A memorial service honoring Sharon will be held on Friday, February 16, 2024, at Central Christian Church, Moberly MO. Service will be held at 1:00 with family receiving friends an hour before the service.
