Scott Harris 66 of Moberly , born August 16, 1959, and sunset May 17, 2026, to Shirley Harris and Wendall Magruder of Macon, Mo, who proceeded him in death. Scott was baptized at a very young age at Ruby Street Baptist Church in Macon, MO, and later fellowshipped in Moberly at Family Life Fellowship.
Scott graduated from Moberly Senior High School, and after graduation he was employed for many, many years at Orscheln Manufacturing, finishing his career at Cater Funeral Home at the time of his passing.
Scott was a well-grounded, simple soul with a heart of gold; a diehard sports fan with his passion for the Golden State Warriors basketball team and the San Francisco 49ers football team being a few of his top favorite teams. He loved to fish and ride his bike all around Moberly.
Surviving him are his sister Melanie (John) Freelon of Kansas City, MO; brothers Randy Harris of Moberly, MO; Kurt Harris of Lee’s Summit, MO and Anthony Harris of Kansas City, MO; He is also survived by a host of uncles and aunts, nieces and nephews, family and friends.
With sincere appreciation, our hearts are grateful to each of you for the many acts of kindness shown during our bereavement. We will always treasure every expression of love that was given. Special thanks to Pastor Tim Fugate, Cater Funeral Home directors and staff, as well as our family and friends that provided encouragement and support. Please continue to lift our family in prayer. May God continue to bless and keep each of you.
Words of comfort and support were shared with the family at a visitation held at the Cater Funeral Home Chapel, followed by a funeral service honoring Scott's life. A private committal will take place at a later date.
