Ruth Helen (Locke) Lee, 90, of Moberly, died Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at Aspire Nursing and Rehab in Moberly. She was born April 24, 1935, in Delta, MO to Cloyes and Inez (Morrison) Locke. Ruth attended Southeast Missouri State College, now University, in Cape Girardeau, where she graduated in 1957 with a degree in Elementary Education and Art.
She married Robert “Bob” Lee on June 19, 1964. Together they had one daughter, Nancy (Lee) Duncan.
Ruth was an elementary school teacher for 5th and 6th grades in Ferguson Florissant School District until she retired. Following retirement, Ruth and Bob traveled for 16 years in their motorhome, proudly visiting 49 of the 50 states. She also enjoyed jigsaw puzzles and reading murder mysteries.
At the time of her death, Ruth was a member of Carpenter Street Baptist Church.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, brother Joe Locke, husband, and daughter. She is survived by son-in-law Gary (Stacey) Duncan, grandsons Matthew (Erin) Duncan and Andrew Duncan, and great-granddaughters, Carolyn and Emersyn Duncan, all of Moberly.
Words of comfort and support were shared with the family at a visitation held at the Cater Funeral Home Chapel, followed by services honoring Ruth's life. Committal prayer and burial took place at the Oakland Cemetery.
