Obituary

Ruth Law, 80, of Moberly, MO. went home to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday June 25, 2022. She was born March 24, 1942, in Equality, IL., to Charles and Mary Madeline (Smith) Law.

Ruth was a big collector of dolls, stuffed animals, and about anything else that she was ever given. She loved her coloring books and colors, her coloring pencils. She loved everyone that she ever met. She was a big mommy's girl and daddy's girl too until Charles passed away, then it was all about mom. She would always welcome you with a big smile and was always excited to show you her most recent doll she had received and or the most recent picture she colored. Ruth may have never spoke a word that many could understand, but "yes" and "no" was very profound for her. Her mother raised her in church and taught her all about the Bible. Ruth loved to take part in any children’s program that the church ever had, from playing the part of Mary in the Christmas play's to helping sing in the children’s choir. Ruth loved to help sing her favorite song, "Jesus Loves Me" about every church service she could. You may have not understood any of it, but most of the time the words "Jesus" and "Love's Me" came across very clear. From Vacation Bible School to Revivals, to regular weekly service, you could always find Ruth many steps ahead of her mom heading into church. She greatly loved serving the Lord in any way she was able, and always had a smile on her face while doing work for the Lord. When her mom would help clean the church, you would find Ruth right there with a dusting rag in her hand or running the vacuum or anything else she could do to help. Ruth was a member of The Church of God until it closed, then in 1984 she became a founding member of the Echoes of Calvary Church for many years.

Ruth is survived by her mother, cousins and many church family members that considered her as their own. She will be remembered for her love of God, family, and friends.

Words of comfort and support were shared with the family at the Cater Funeral Home Chapel followed by funeral services honoring and celebrating Ruth’s life.   Committal prayer and burial took place at the Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends and family have shared their relationship to show their support.
