Obituary

Rosie Williams, 85, of Moberly, passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2021. She was born November 28, 1935 in Huntsville, MO to Joseph J. and Pearl E. (DeGarmo) Williams.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a half-brother Larry and a half-sister Charlotte.

She is survived by her brother Joseph Williams, sister in law, Helga Williams, nephew Dean Williams, all of Quincey, IL, other relatives and friends, including her dear friend Beverly Coureton.

Rosie served 20 years in the Army from 1956 to 1976 earning Rank SG Major. She loved the St. Louis Cardinals and Kansas City Chiefs. She also really loved her fur babies (cats). She worked at Walmart for 20 years. Rosie owned and operated Curves fitness center here in Moberly for five years.

Services honoring Rosie’s life were held in the Cater Funeral Home Chapel, Military honors followed. A private committal prayer and burial will take place at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery.
