Ronney Dean Coonce, 67 of Huntsville, passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2020. He was born January 1, 1951 in Kansas City, MO to the union of Clyde and Lucille (Wood) Coonce. He married Esther Sue Britt on July 16, 1968 in Huntsville, MO and she preceded him in death on August 26, 2020. Also preceding him in death were his parents, four brothers; Charles, Russell, Russell Wayne, and JR Coonce and a sister Leah Coonce.
Ronney is survived by a son Ronnie Coonce of Huntsville, five grandchildren; Mark, Leland, and Tabatha Coonce, Porschia Bell, and Scott Akin, six great grandchildren, two brothers; Mel Coonce and his wife Teresa of Moberly, and Woodrow Coonce of Ava, MO, two sisters; Linda Nichols and Mary Farmer both of Moberly, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Ronney loved the Lord and his family. He always took great pride in his career where he designed and fabricated truck hoods for Bob Whitehead, FERCO and later Tru-Fit and Jacobs Manufacturing in Grove, Oklahoma. When he could he would play chess with his great grandson and occasionally Ronney would win. Ronney and Sue loved watching Celtics and Lakers basketball games, both finding joy when one of their teams won.
Ronney always had a heart to witness and work for the Lord and always enjoyed sharing the salvation of the Lord Jesus Christ. With this quality Ronney’s family will always be eternally grateful.
Services honoring Ronney’s life were held at the Sweet Springs Baptist Church. Committal prayer and burial followed in the church cemetery.
