Obituary

Ronald Dell Snodgrass, 84, of Moberly, formally of Callao, MO, passed away Wednesday November 24, 2021. He was born February 18, 1937, in Macon County to William and Daisey (Moore) Snodgrass.

On June 2, 1956, he married Shirley Jo Poe in Huntsville, MO, and she survives of the home. Also surviving are his four sons, Joey Dell Snodgrass and wife Joan (Perry), David Dean Snodgrass and wife Sharon, Douglas Eugene Snodgrass and wife Kathy (Marino) and Dr. Jeffery Scott Snodgrass and wife Vicky (Embree) all of Moberly. He is also survived by 2 brothers, Delmar Lee Snodgrass and wife Ruth Ann (Dunkin) of Callao, MO, and William Dennis Snodgrass and wife Kay (McCreery) (Delaney) of Moberly.  Six grandchildren, Devin Snodgrass and wife Jamie (Hutchison) of Moberly, Dr. Derek Snodgrass and wife Miranda (Plassmeyer) of Paducah, KY, Ryan Snodgrass of Moberly, Trent and wife Stephanie (Turner) Snodgrass of Hallsville, MO, Faith Snodgrass and Hope Snodgrass of Moberly.  Five great-grandchildren, Bailee, Lauryn and Hayden Snodgrass of Moberly, Emmalyn and Finley Snodgrass of Hallsville, MO along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, sister Rose Marie and great grand-daughter, Dainie.

He formally owned and operated Ron’s Auto Electric in Moberly rebuilding automotive alternators and starters. Ronald loved and owned motorcycles throughout his life, enjoyed going quail hunting and fishing with his sons and grandsons, loved to listen to his country music, Johnny Cash and Marty Robbins were his favorites.  He also loved rebuilding and driving lawn tractors.  No one enjoyed cutting grass more than Grandpa Grass.  He always seemed to form a special connection with animals and enjoyed interacting with them.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Services honoring and celebrating Ronald’s life, will be held Monday, November 29, 2021, 2:30 p.m. graveside at Oakland Cemetery with a committal prayer and burial to follow.
