Obituary

Ronald D. “Booger” Harrison, 85, of Moberly, passed away on Thursday, December 17, 2020 at Moberly Regional Medical Center. He was born July 24, 1935 to the late Roy Harrison and LulaBelle (Shively) Harrison.

Ronald was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Barbara Jean (Lentz) Harrison and his much-loved daughter, Cynthia Kay Harrison. In addition, he was preceded in death by his three siblings, Aletha Lewis, Veda Lovell and Robert Harrison.

Ronald worked most of his life for the railroad and retired as train master with the Wabash & Northern Railroad in St. Louis. Ron enjoyed traveling with his wife of 61 years, Barbara, especially to South Padre Island over the winter. His other interests included golf and having morning coffee with his friends. He also enjoyed watching sports and he had a special fondness for his cats. Ron was a member and attended Carpenter Street Baptist Church.

He is survived by three nieces, Vicki (husband Sonny) Nevins, Tuttle OK, Bette Chestnut, Tucson, AZ, Lia Harrison (husband Tim) Kukuk, Millsap, TX. One nephew, Greg (wife Patty) Lewis, Mechanicsburg, PA, and sister-in-law, Kay Collier of Moberly, MO, and brothers-in-law, Terry (wife Rosemary) Smith, Woodland TX, Bobby (wife Kathi) Smith, St. Louis MO.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Ron to the Carpenter Street Baptist Church, 501 E. Carpenter Street, Moberly, MO 65270.
