Robert H. "Bob" Bauer

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Robert Howard Bauer 81, of Clifton Hill, MO, Thursday, February 12, 2026. Robert was a man of boundless knowledge, intelligence, and humor. 

Through his journey of 81, almost 82 years, he touched many lives with his many qualities. Robert was a devout husband to his wife Brenda L. Bauer, and to his surviving children, Robert J. Bauer, of Columbia MO, and Rebecca R. Bauer of O’Fallon MO, and surviving grandkids, Jared E. Giuliano and Mikaela R.D. Giuliano.

He was preceded in death by parents, Robert W. and Doris Bauer, sister Nicholi Grimshaw and a granddaughter Hannah Dale.

Robert was a graduate of St. Louis University, a First Lieutenant in the Army, a historian, a passion as a philanthropist of many charities, and had a love for the railroad.

He will be greatly missed and forever remembered by those who had the privilege to know him and love him.

Words of comfort and support were shared with the family  at the Cater Funeral Home Chapel, followed by Military Honors. A private committal will take place at a later date.
