Rita Shipherd

Rita Mae (Parks) Shipherd, 75, of California, formerly of Moberly, passed away, Wednesday, November 13, 2024.  She was born August 4, 1949, in Tulare, CA., to the union of Betty and Sam Parks.

She was a drummer and a singer in a country band, and she taught all of her children harmony and the blessings of the gift of music.  She lived in the Moberly Towers for 12 years and had a beautiful group of people and friends that admired her.

Rita is survived by a sister, Millie Parks, 4 stepdaughters, Teri Elam, Susan Elam, Lavelle Shipherd, Louise Shipherd, a daughter, Bridget Madran, 3 sons, John Elam, Jason Coil, Justin Coil, 2 foster sons, Patrick Baker and Rodney Baker, 40 grandchildren and loved every one of them with all her heart.  She will be missed so much.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and 2 brothers Joe and Kenneth Parks.
