Richard Walker Grapes

Richard Walker Grapes, Jr., 74, of Moberly, passed away Sunday, May 1, 2022.  He was born August 19, 1947, to the union of Johnson Walker and Doris Viginia (Lyon) Grapes.

He had served in the Navy during the Vietnam War prior to his honorable discharge and had worked on the railroad until his retirement.  He enjoyed coin collecting, martial arts, firearms, and target shooting.

He is survived by his children Brad Grapes and Richelle Grapes, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Jerry Wayne Grapes and a sister Diana Kay Grapes.

Words of comfort and support were shared with the family at a visitation that was held in the Cater Funeral Home Chapel, services honoring and celebrating Richard’s life followed.  Private committal prayer and burial will take place at the Higbee Cemetery at a later date.
