Retha Mae Lorton, 82, of Moberly, passed away, Monday, July 8, 2024. She was born June 12, 1942, in Moberly, to the union of Robert and Ada Evelyn (Kirkendoll) Lorton.
Prior to her retirement she worked at Everlast. Retha enjoyed woodworking, crafting, fishing and spending time with family and friends. She was a long time member of Moberly First Assembly of God.
Retha was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Albert, Charley, and Lowell Lorton, sisters, Ruth Campbell, Velma Baker, Brenda McCarter and Naomi Turner.
She is survived by 11 nieces and nephews, Angela Durlin and her husband Scott of Auxvasse, Joella Patrick of Moberly, Beverly Still of Higbee, Dean Lorton of Wappapello, David Lorton of Iowa, Steven Schultz and Donna Schultz, both of Columbia, Beverly Spencer of Hallsville, Chris Shultz of Texas, numerous great nieces and great nephews, other family and friends.
Words of comfort and support were shared with the family at a visitation that was held at Cater Funeral Home. Funeral services honoring and celebrating Retha’s life were held at the First Assembly of God Church. Committal prayer and burial followed at Sugar Creek Cemetery.
