It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Raymond V. Birdnow, who departed this life, Saturday, September 27, 2025, in Mexico, Missouri. He was 72 years old.
Born , April 23, 1953, Raymond touched the lives of everyone he met with kindness and compassion. He was known for his generosity, sense of humor and dedication to his friends and family.
Raymond is survived by his older half-sister Betty Fuller (husband Ed) of Lindsey, California as well as several close friends. He will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Raymond enjoyed games and challenges that required knowledge and quick wit. He enjoyed playing trivia with others. He was once an avid reader of history and current events. His love for movies, especially John Wayne, was shown by playing Western DVDs often. Poor health dominated his life in his last years. He loved God and recognized that God had worked miracles in his life.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery, Jacksonville, Mo.
Words of comfort and support were shared with the family at a visitation held,at the Cater Funeral Home Chapel. Committal Prayer and Military Honors took place at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery Shelter, Jacksonville,Mo, Burial followed..
