Obituary

Ray Don Kimes, born, December 4, 1947 in Cameron, Missouri, went to be with Jesus on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at the age of 78 at the family farm in Moberly, Missouri.

Ray proudly served in the United States Air Force. He possessed decades-long expertise in the service industry, specializing in commercial appliances. He was a dedicated and faithful servant of God, remaining very active with Harvester Christian Church—notably through his work with Journey to Bethlehem, leading Bible studies, and serving on the Benevolence and Prayer teams.  He always wanted God to use him to tell people about His Savior.

Ray was a loving husband to Robbie, a proud father of four, grandfather of nine, and great-grandfather of four. He had an incredible love for music as an accomplished trumpet musician and found great joy in fishing, working on the family farm, and traveling with Robbie. He also had a deep personal love of trains and cherished the dogs he affectionately called his "Wuzers."

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Robbie; his brother, Alan (Kay); his children Greg (Tage), Jeff (Bea), Brad (Amy), Mindy (Tim); his grandchildren Lundan (Lyman), Tanen, Ben (Cassandra), Cece (Bailey), Blake, Maddie, Finley, Luke, Emma; his great-grandchildren Marek, Taya, Indi, and Craig, his sisters in law Beth Price and Mary Kimes, many nieces and nephews, and numerous friends.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother Ira and Betty Kimes, his brother Bob Kimes, his father and mother-in-law Lemuel and Dorothy Robb, and his brother-in-law Danny Price.

We will always cherish his unique humor, his joyful spirit, and his deep love for life.

In Lieu of Flowers, Memorial Donations may be made to Harvester Christian Church  Benevolence Fund.
