Phillip Randolph "Randy" Van Cleve, 71, of Holiday Acres Lake, Cairo, MO, passed away Saturday, May 25th, 2024, in Moberly, MO. Randy was born on March 12th, 1953, to John W. "Jack" Van Cleve and Betty Joy Burch Van Cleve in St. Joseph, MO.
Randy was with Jones Lumber & Supply Co. from 1975-2007, where he very much enjoyed working with his customers on inside sales, outside sales, blueprint takeoff, and home design. Randy took ownership of Jones Lumber & Supply Co. in 2001 until his retirement.
Randy loved his family and friends with all of his heart and would give the shirt off his back to anyone. He loved spending time with family and friends, enjoying the lake, taking generations of kids for rides on the tube, and skiing. Randy will always be remembered for his big smile and great personality and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Randy is preceded in death by his parents Jack and Betty, and sister, Pam Tebow.
He is survived by his daughter, Angela Cobb of Moberly MO, son, Ross Van Cleve and his wife Mary, of Moberly, MO; grandchildren, Brenden Cobb and his wife Kaitlyn, of Jacksonville, MO, Lauren Cobb of Moberly, MO, Austin Van Cleve of Moberly, MO, Haley Van Cleve of Moberly, MO; great-grandchildren, Ridley Cobb and Oakley Cobb of Jacksonville, MO; brothers, John Van Cleve and his wife Karen, of Cairo, MO, Steve Van Cleve and his wife Peggy, of Cairo, MO; brother-in-law, Ken Tebow of Cairo, MO, many nieces and nephews, extended family and close friends.
Memorial contributions in Randy's honor are suggested to your charity of choice.
A celebration of Randy’s life will be held Friday, May 31, 2024, 4:00-6:00 P.M at Cater Funeral Home. Committal prayer and burial will take place at a later date, in the Oakland Cemetery.
