Randall Joe "Randy" Tallman

February 23, 2026

Obituary

Randall Joe "Randy" Tallman, 66, of Huntsville, went to be with his Lord Monday, February 23, 2026.

Randy worked in construction and every time we crossed a bridge that he helped to build he would tell us. He also drove a crane for the Norfolk Southern railroad clearing drift so that the trains could continue and they didn't have a bridge fall and collapse.

Randy was a foster parent, foster dad to a lot of kids over an 8-to-9-year span, and he was a volunteer Casa worker for the Foster-care system. He was a big brother for the Big Brother, Big Sister Program.

Randy loved to restore old John Deere tractors, and when I say restore, I mean he would rebuild and repaint to the tiniest detail, and one of them actually won first place at the flywheel show in Macon.

He was a patriot who believed in God, country and our right to bear arms.

Randy enjoyed traveling. We went on cruises and we've been to Mexico, New Orleans and we were scheduled to go to Jamaica in April.

He enjoyed going to outdoor flea markets, fishing and hunting. Randy was a squirrel dad, a cat dad, and loved all of the animals. All of this being said, Randy struggled with family from time to time, but he absolutely loved being Daddy-O, dad, papa, Little papa, Uncle Randy, and mostly my husband. He will be missed by every breath that I take from now on, but he's in such a better place than this whole world could ever give him. I love you, Randy Tallman.

Randy is survived by his wife, Faith Johnston Tallman, daughters Kalee Scrogin and her husband Bill of Huntsville and Jaydie Tallman and Connor Domangue of the Rolla area, eight grandkids Blayne Hurt, Zoey Hurt, Braylie Scrogin, Grayson Scrogin, Harmony Stelljes, Zaida Spraggin, Logan Domangue, and Connor Domangue II, a brother Keith Tallman and his wife Debbie of Huntsville nieces, nephews, great nieces, other family, and fantastic friends.

He was proceeded in death by his parents.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Little Hornets Football team, c/o Westran School.

Words of comfort and support were shared with the family at a visitation held at the Cater Funeral Home Chapel, followed by services honoring Randy's life.  A private committal will take place at a later date.
