Obituary

Peggy Ancell, 80, of Moberly, passed away, Tuesday, October 3, 2023.  She was born, July 4, 1943, in Higbee, to the union of Merle and Lorraine (Dutcher) Rogers.

She worked as independent insurance sales representive for several companies; Peggy enjoyed painting, crafts, pottery, and rummage sales. She loved crossword puzzles and playing solitaire on her iPad. She was baptized at the Higbee Methodist Church and was a member of the church for many years. But she absolutely adored her grandchildren, great grandchildren and her animals and loved being a mom and grandma.

Peggy is survived by her children, Cliff Ancell and his wife Linda of Huntsville, Gregory Don Ancell of Moberly, 2 grandchildren, Daniel Wayne Ancell and Tabitha Brooke Ancell, 5 great grandchildren, Rebecca Perkins and her husband Devin, Peyton Mcleod, Collin Ancell, Zach Ancell, Abigail Ancell, and 1 great great grandchild, Rylan Perkins, sister in laws, Becky Rogers , Linda Rogers, both of Moberly, and Brenda Ancell of Macon, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Don Ancell, brothers, Donald and Kenneth Rogers, grandson Christopher Michael Ancell.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to St. Vincent DePaul, St. Pius.

Words of comfort and support may be shared with the family at a visitation, Saturday, October 7, 2023, 1-3 PM, to be held in the Cater Funeral Home Chapel, to be followed by  Funeral services honoring Peggy’s life at 3 PM.   Private committal prayer and burial will take place in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery.
