Obituary

Patricia Kay “Pat” Ward, 75, of Moberly, passed away peacefully at her home March 28, 2026. She was dearly loved by all who knew her.

Pat was born June 23, 1950, to Otho and Barbara Johnson of Atlanta, Missouri. She graduated from Atlanta High School in 1968, where she was active in sports and served as a pitcher for the softball team.

In 1969, while working at McGraw-Edison in Macon, Patricia met the love of her life, Danny Ward. They were united in marriage September 12, 1970, at the Atlanta Army Depot in Forrest Park, Georgia. Patricia enjoyed a remarkable career of more than 30 years as an office manager for several local physicians, including Dr. Conley, Dr. Daly, and Dr. Remerowski.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Cara Cupp.

Pat is survived by her husband, Danny; her children, Danny Jr. & Kelli Ward of Moberly, Tim Ward of Springfield, Angie & Nick Barron of Raymore, and Matthew & Rory Ward of Gladstone; along with her beloved grandchildren, Austin & Abby Ward of Moberly, Carter Ward of Moberly, Brayden Ward of Fulton, and Noah & Owen Barron of Raymore. She was joyfully anticipating the arrival of her first great-grandchild in August.

A woman of deep faith, Patricia was a member of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church in Atlanta and Carpenter Street Baptist Church in Moberly. She will be lovingly remembered for her delicious home cooking, gentle spirit, and the many family gatherings she hosted in her home.

A private funeral service honoring Pat’s lifewas held at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery Shelter, Jacksonville, Missouri, burial followed in the cemetery.
