Neil Douglas Miller, 73, of Moberly, Missouri, passed away peacefully in the early morning of October 12, 2025, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born on October 9, 1952, in Bismarck, North Dakota, to Lloyd and Grace (Williams) Miller.
Neil was a man of many talents and had an endless curiosity for how things worked. He spent his career as an HVAC sales representative and was known for his integrity, hard work, and knack for solving problems. A natural craftsman, he could fix or build just about anything and loved spending time in his shop, tinkering, welding, repairing, and creating.
An avid outdoorsman, Neil enjoyed trap shooting, hunting, and fishing - often spending his evenings at the pond behind his home. His passion for the outdoors took him around the world with friends, where he made lasting memories pursuing his love of hunting and fishing.
He was known for always being willing to drop everything to lend a helping hand. His warmth, sense of humor, and quiet strength touched the lives of everyone who knew him.
Neil is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Clarice (Morris) Miller; his daughter, Amber Scholl, and her husband, Brian, and their children, Camden (16) and Delaney (13); and his son, Ryan Miller, and his wife, Fumi, and their son, Kai (5). He is also survived by his brother, Clifford Miller, and his wife, Karen, of Lake St. Louis, Missouri; his sister-in-law, Jeanette, of Townsend, Montana; his in-laws, the Morris family; and nephews and nieces, family members, and friends who will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Grace Miller, and his brother, Keith Miller.
Neil will be remembered for his warmth, sense of humor, and the quiet strength he carried into every part of his life.
A Celebration of Life Lunch will be held on Friday, October 31, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Bismarck Municipal Country Club in Bismarck, North Dakota. Following the lunch, burial will take place at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
