Obituary

Nancy Elizabeth Duncan, 52, of Moberly, passed away Sunday, September 12, 2021. She was born April 21, 1969 in Hazelwood, MO to Robert Edward and Ruth Helen (Locke) Lee.

She married Gary Duncan, December 22, 1990 in Columbia, MO and he survives of the home. Also surviving include her children Matthew Duncan and his wife Erin, her son Andrew Duncan, her step daughter Crystal Libhart and her husband  Justin, her mother, one  grandchild, and three step grandchildren,  other relatives and friends.

Nancy was preceded in death by her father.

Growing up around Missouri, Nancy lived in Hazelwood, Warrensburg, Boonville, Fayette and Moberly. She went to school at Mizzou and UCM receiving her Masters Degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology. She was a speech pathologist for 28 years at Leeton, New Franklin, and Renick schools.  In addition to teaching, she organized the Spelling Bee and accompanied music in Renick.  Nancy was a member of Carpenter Street Baptist Church where she played the piano, taught Vacation Bible School, and taught Sunday School.  Nancy loved reading, puzzles, and playing board games with her family. She was also a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and Renick CTA.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Carpenter Street Baptist Church; Operation Christmas Child or Iola Coons CTA Scholarship. 

Words of comfort and support were shared with the family during the visitation at the Cater Funeral Home. Services honoring and celebrating Nancy’s life were held in the Cater Funeral Home Chapel. Committal prayer and burial followed at the Oakland Cemetery.
