Michelle Apel

Michelle Louise Apel, 29, of Trenton, Missouri, formerly of the Randolph County area and Keota, Iowa, passed away unexpectedly, Sunday morning, July 16, 2023, at Eastview Manor Care Center in Trenton, Missouri. She was born March 6, 1994 in Moberly, Missouri, to the union of, Charles Thomas, Sr. and Robin Colleen (Stegall) Apel.

Michelle was a Keota High School graduate, in Keota, Iowa. She enjoyed listening to music, watching movies, and reading.

Survivors include her siblings, James Hines and his wife, Alicia Turner, Jennifer Swan and her husband Jon, Scott Rice and his wife, Jeannette, Melissa Apel, Melinda Moss and her husband, Jimmy, grandmother Edith Stegall, uncles and aunts, George Cress, Yvonne, Patti Colby and her husband, Gary, Elaine Stegall, Duane Stegall, Marla Hotsenpiller and her husband, Bronc, her foster father, John C. McDowell,  cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, grandfather, Lowell Stegall, great-grandparents Dave and Rebecca Baker, aunts, and uncles.

Words of comfort and support may be shared with the family at a visitation, which will be, Friday, July 28, 2023, 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., at the Family Life Fellowship Church. Services honoring  Michelle’s life will follow at 3:00 p.m.  Private committal prayer and burial will take place at a later date.
