Michael DeWayne “Mike” Kimbrough, 73, of Moberly, passed away in his home with family by his side, Thursday, March 30,2023. His memory will be cherished forever. He was born to the union of William H and Fern Alline (Naylor) Kimbrough, October 12, 1949, in Clark, Mo.
Michael was a lifelong resident of Moberly where he had many friends and family. He was an honorably discharged United States Navy Veteran and a lifelong member of the VFW. He retired from the Norfolk and Southern Railroad where he was a Train Engineer. Mike enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and he loved “goofing off” as he would put it in his spare time. He had a very soft heart for those he was closest to. He was always up for any activity he was asked to participate in.
Mike is survived by two brothers Dennis Kimbrough of Santa Barbara, CA and Donald Kimbrough of Moberly, Mo. Three daughters Tara Kimbrough and Kevin Renfrow of Boonville, Mo, Amber Kimbrough and Justin Benett of Salisbury, Mo and Kelly Allen of Moberly, Mo. He had 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren several cousins and his favorite grand-dog “Abbey”.
He is proceeded in death by his parents, a sister-in-law Diane Kimbrough, a grandson Gage Kirkendoll, and a granddaughter Tesa Ray.
Words of support were shared with the family at a visitation that was held in the Cater Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services honoring "Mike's" life followed. Military honors, committal prayer and burial, took place at the Chapel Grove Cemetery.
