Matthew Andrew "Matt" Morgan

Matthew Andrew “Matt” Morgan, 38, of Sturgeon, passed away Sunday, July 4, 2021. He was born March 10, 1983 in Columbia, MO, to Larry and Connie (Bond) Morgan.

He married Tanjerine Propst and she survives.  Also surviving are his children; Matthew, Jerome, and Willie, his parents, a brother Gregory Young, sister Heather Willet and her husband David, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Matt was a wonderful and caring person who always wanted to help others. If anyone in his life was hurting he was always there for them and wanted to take care of the problem so they couldn’t hurt anymore. He had a soft spot in his heart for children and would always do anything to make them happy. The outdoors and animals were a big part of his life and he loved his three dogs Ace, Coco, and Ginger. Matt had always loved turtles since he was a child and would have to take them home or put them in the grass so they wouldn’t get hit by a car. Some of his favorite things were music, hunting, camping, and being with his family. He was considered to be the best son, brother, and uncle to his loved ones because he was always there for them no matter what. One thing that Matt could always do was to make people laugh and put a smile on their face. He will be truly missed by all of his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents and two uncles, Richard and Sam Morgan.

Words of comfort and support were shared with the family in the Cater Funeral Home. Services honoring Matt’s life were held at the Cater Funeral Home Chapel. Committal prayer and burial followed in the Oakland Cemetery.
