Louis Elmer Ervin, 89, of Moberly, passed away December 25, 2023. He was born August 20, 1934 in Brunswick to the union of Orville and Mary Louise (Saunders) Ervin.
He graduated from Dalton High School and entered the Air Force, from which he was honorably discharged and then went to work at the school.
Louis is survived by his children, Denise Dameron , Louis Ervin, Jr., Tiffany Ervin all of Moberly and Leo Ervin of Columbia, 9 grandchildren, Jessica Winn, Latoya Winn, Arianna Freese, Kyree Ervin, Makila Ervin, Jalean Ervin, Jordan Ervin, Jazmin Ervin and Tionna Ervin, 5 great grandchildren, Malaysha Winn, MarSean Winn, Nila Winn, Aireon Jefferson and Deion Tolan, nieces, Twila Ervin and Marcia Ervin, a sister, Lillian Harris of Marshall, other relatives and friends.
He married Sarah Elizabeth Harris, November of 1976 and she preceded him in death November of 2014, he was also preceded in death by his parents, a son Harry Ervin, and a brother Charles Ervin.
Words of comfort and support were shared with the family at a visitation held at the Cater Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services honoring and celebrating Louis’s life followed. Military Honors, Committal prayer and burial took place in the Oakland Cemetery.
