Obituary

Loretta A. Buehrle, 68, of Clark, MO. passed away at her home, Tuesday, April 25, 2023.   She was born to the union of Edwin E. and Judy (Spurling) Ragsdale,  November 2, 1954, in Moberly. 

She is survived by her children, Scott Buehrle of Columbia and Kathryn Roberts and her husband Matthew, of Fort Belvoir, VA, her mother, Judy Thornburg, sisters Diane Ragsdale and Linda Ortman and her husband Tom, all of Moberly, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Loretta worked for over twenty years teaching and supporting adults with disabilities to live fuller and more independent lives. She also volunteered with the American Red Cross for more than ten years, teaching CPR and First Aid, supporting families and emergency responders with the disaster response team, and providing first aid coverage for countless charity events.

She was preceded in death by her father Edwin and brother Owen Ragsdale, and stepfather Ted Thornburg.

Retta was loved and will be missed by her family, colleagues, and the countless people she served.

In lieu of flower, memorials are suggested to be made to the American Red Cross.

Words of support may be shared with the family at a visitation to be held at the Cater Funeral Home Chapel, Friday, April 28, 2023, 1-3 pm to be followed by services honoring Loretta’s life at 3 pm.  Committal prayer and burial will take place at the Chapel Grove Cemetery.
