Obituary

Larry Von Borron, 86, of Moberly, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, December 24, 2025. He was born February 12, 1939, in Sue City, Missouri, to Kenneth and Lola Borron. He proudly served his country in the military in his early twenties prior to receiving his Honorable Discharge and went on to dedicate over 30 years of service to the Missouri Department of Transportation, where his strong work ethic and loyalty were well known.

On September 14, 1985, Larry married the love of his life, Wanda Borron, beginning 40 years of life together marked by an unshakable devotion and deep commitment to one another. Together, they built a life shaped by love, shared laughter, and a welcoming home where family was truly cherished. They always found joy in sharing everyday moments and the blessings in doing life side by side.

Larry is survived by his loving wife, Wanda Borron; his children, Johnny (Kathy) Hendren and Kristi (John) Bluml; his grandchildren, Christopher, Colten, Brittany, John-Chris, John, and Andrew; his brother, Max (Judy) Borron; and 10 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense pride and joy.

Larry enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. He loved to fish, play cards, scratch-off lottery tickets, collect treasures, and was always ready for an auction. He could often be found watching and reading westerns. Known for his quick wit and love of telling jokes, Larry had a way of making people laugh wherever he went.

Above all, Larry will be remembered as a man with the biggest heart, a man of honor who was devoted, strong, caring, and deeply committed to his family. He lived his life with integrity, generosity, and kindness.
Larry’s legacy lives on in the laughter he shared, the stories he told, and the unwavering love he gave to his family. He taught those around him the value of hard work, honesty, and showing up for the people you love. His humor, strength, and caring spirit will continue to guide and inspire his family for generations to come.

He will be deeply missed.

Words of comfort and support were shared with the family at a visitation held at the Cater Funeral Home Chapel,, followed by funeral services honoring Mr. Borron's life. Committal prayer and burial took place at the Oakland Cemetery.
