Kristy Ellison

Obituary

“It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to our beloved daughter, sister, mother and friend, Kristy Lee Ellison. Born, July 14, 1971, she lived an inspiring 53 years and  passed peacefully, March 13, 2025 in her home surrounded by loved ones.

Kristy was the eldest daughter to Bill and Patty (Ray) Smith, mother to Britton Ellison, sister to Autumn (Smith) Stalker and Darin Stalker, and aunt to Hayden, Samson and Barik Stalker.

Not only was she a fiercely loving mother and family member, Kristy was a one-of-a-kind friend. To know her was to love her and be immediately impacted by her pursuit to live life to the fullest. From her rambunctious days of youth to an adventurous adulthood, Kristy found a way to make each day - each moment - fun, vibrant and joyful. If Kristy taught all of us one thing, it was how to live each and every day as if it could be your last. Perhaps her most inspiring trait was how, even with all odds stacked against her, she maintained the mindset and strength of a warrior, and she never missed an opportunity to make a memory (and you can bet she captured that memory on camera). Kristy had a big heart with space for many things. But at the top of that list was her unmatched adoration for her son, her deep love for her sister, family and pups, and the satisfaction of a successful seashell hunt on the beach. May we all carry out her legacy by finding joy and hope in the darkest of times, and by taking no day for granted.”

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Kristy Ellison park bench fund, for a bench to be placed at Treasure Island, FL

A Celebration of Life service took place at the Sweet Springs Baptist Church, Huntsville, MO., per her wishes private committal will take place at a later date.
