Obituary

Keith Embree 84, of Moberly, passed away Friday, April 14, 2023. He was born October 15, 1938, to the union of Manson  and Opal (Johnston) Embree.. 

Keith is survived by his wife Peggy (Breid) Embree of the home, children, Greg Embree and his wife Jackie, of Rockmart, GA, David Patton  and his wife  Kathy of Moberly, Sabrina Campbell and her husband Rick Campbell of Atlanta, GA and Daryl Patton of Independence, MO, a sister, Sandy Blomberg  and her husband Steve of Macon, MO., grandchildren, Kevin Ray, Kelly, Kayla, Brad, Corey, Tallie, Derrick, Cole, Cody, Kevin Phillip, great grandchildren, Callie, Kiersten, Drew, Kiptyn, Jaden, Kash, Kane, Kaylin, Karmyn, Kooper, Kynlee,  many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Keith grew up in the small town of Middle Grove, MO and Graduated from Moberly High School. He worked many jobs in Moberly as a teenager. Keith worked 10 years for the Railroad. He left it to get into the Car Business. He loved tinkering with cars and enjoyed talking with people. Keith married Peggy Breid on July 31, 1976 he would say she was his one true love other than his dog Lady. Keith and Peggy ran Embree Motors at their home in Madison, MO for 46 Years running up and down the road together to auctions having amazing times with many of their friends. In 2020 they moved their home and business to Moberly with their son David Keith. Keith truly enjoyed his beautiful and peaceful home in Moberly. He loved Sprint Car Racing. The best days of his life were traveling all over the US to watch races, auctions, and vacations. His favorite racer was his special friend Andy Hillenburg. Keith loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren more than life. Keith had a big family and a lot of amazing friends and a very dear doctor Randy Foster whom became part of his family. He had a lot of friends that turned into family, too many to name from all over the United States.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Christopher Patton.

Memorials can be made to the Keith Embree great grandchildren's college fund account at Regional Bank.

Funeral services honoring Keith’s life were held in the Cater Funeral Home Chapel.  A visitation where words of support were shared with the family preceded the funeral services.  Committal prayer and burial followed at Sunset Hill Cemetery, Madison, MO
