Julie Snowgren

On Thursday, July 22, 2021, Julie Snowgren of Cairo, MO, loving wife, mother and friend to many passed away at the age of 64. She was born May 13, 1957 in Perry, Iowa to Lawrence and Darlene (Lass) Johnston.  She graduated from the Dayton Iowa High School in 1975. 

Julie married Steven E. Snowgren, April 21, 1977 in Carthage, MO and he survives of the home. Also surviving include her daughter, Sarah Struttmann, stepson, Cory Snowgren, her mother Darlene Johnston, six grandchildren, one great-grandchild,  three sisters; Ruth Anderson, Carol Piper, and Tammy Johnson, nieces, nephews,  all of the state of Iowa, other relatives and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her father, a nephew Michael Anderson and a niece Kimberly Anderson Temple.

Julie's strong will and personality was well known to her family & friends. She was 100% herself and was never afraid to speak the truth, even if it fell on deaf ears - she just wanted to be there to help anyone who needed her, even if they themselves did not know what they needed at the moment. She fiercely loved her family, friends and her pets; Gracie and Josey with all that she had. She will be greatly missed by so many

A memorial visitation where words of comfort and support were shared with the family was held.
