Jerri Lynn Denton, 52, of New Bloomfield, Mo. formerly of Holton, KS., passed away Saturday, November 26, 2022, She was born November 14, 1970, in Topeka, KS., to the union of James L and Janet Kay (Sharp) Banaka.
She graduated from Jackson Heights High School in 1989 and Highland Community College. Jerri Lynn earned her Masters Degree from Missouri Western College.
Jerri was a Chief Negotiator for the State of Missouri and previously with the fitness program at Missouri Highway Patrol.
Survivors include her 2 sons, Nick Denton of Florida and Brandon Denton of Holt Summit, Mo., father Jim Banaka of Netawaka, KS., 2 sisters Janelle Bell and her husband Brad of Trenton, TX. And Julie Shook and her husband Zane of Carbondale, KS., her fiancé Christopher Schumann of the home, a niece, nephews, great nieces, other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by a son Logan Alan Denton, her mother, a brother James Bradley “Brad” Banaka and a nephew, Wyatt Zane Shook.
Words of comfort and support were shared with the family at a visitation that was held in Holton, KS. Funeral services honoring Jerri Lynn’s life followed. Committal prayer and burial took place at Metawaka Cemetery. Local services were entrusted to Cater Funeral Home.
