Jannis Chitwood

Jannis Chitwood, 71, of Moberly passed away Saturday, January 28, 2023.  She was born December 22, 1951 in Moberly, Mo. to the union of the late Edwin and Irene (Ketchum) Lusby.

She is survived by her son Emmitt Chitwood and his wife Tonya of Corona CA, her brother Dell Lusby & wife Mary Sue Lusby of Moberly, MO, her sister Joyce Lusby-Shoemaker of Columbia, MO, as well as many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.

Jannis loved her family and friends strongly, and possessed a special kindness & genuine caring for her fellow man. She was happiest when spending time with her family or watching her St. Louis Cardinals play.

Words of comfort and support were shared with the family at a visitation that was held at the Cater Funeral Home Chapel followed by funeral services honoring Jannis’s life.  Private committal prayer and burial took place in the Sunset Hill Cemetery, Madison, Mo.
