George was a long-time resident of Moberly and enjoyed reminiscing about growing up in the Magic City and spending time at his grandparents' farm.  He was a long time member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. George took great pride in being an honorably discharged veteran, serving his country in the United States Army, during the Vietnam War.  His favorite pastime was spending time with his family, especially his grandkids.  He loved cheering them on at their various sporting events and holding the two younger additions and watching them play.  He had an infectious smile and was loved by many.

Mass of Christian burial was held at the St. Pius X Catholic Church. Committal prayers and burial followed in the St. Mary’s Cemetery.
