Gary Weis

Gary Turley Weis, 70, of Moberly, MO, passed away December 31, 2025 at Veterans Hospital in Columbia, MO after a hard-fought battle with cancer.

Gary was born December 27,1955 at Woodland Hospital of Moberly.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Turley Weis, his mother, Viola Mae Kivett Weis and his younger brother, David Kivett Weis.  

Gary is survived by his son, Justin Robert Weis of Moberly, one grandson, Aiden Weis, a sister, Kaye Spalding (Dennis) of Monroe City MO a brother Bob Weis (Carol) of Columbia MO and a sister-in-law, Christine Weis of Sunrise Beach, MO

Gary was a 1974 graduate of Moberly Sr High School, soon after he joined the United States Army. Gary worked at Thomas Hill Power plant and Kansas City Power and Light and he enjoyed fishing and shooting pool with his friends.

A celebration of life will be held in the spring.

Committal words and military honors, took place at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery Shelter, Jacksonville, MO, Inurnment followed.
