Doris Crutchfield

Doris J. Crutchfield, 90, passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2025.  She was born September 9, 1934, to Glen and Lucille Huntsman in Moberly, MO.

Doris worked at PK Weis Insurance Agency for several decades before retiring.  Doris married the love of her life, Gene Crutchfield, on June 11, 1972. Doris is a member of Carpenter Street Baptist Church, Moberly, MO, and loved her Lord, Jesus Christ.  She taught Children’s Sunday School for many decades.

She is survived by her brother Kenneth (Donna) Huntsman of Moberly, sisters Patricia (Edward) Cooley of Rifle, CO, and Alice (Nelson) Tallman of Lancaster, MO; children, Byron (Amy) Shaw of Jefferson City, MO, John (Carole) Shaw of Lampasas, TX, and Hubert (Becky) Shaw of Quincy, IL; Nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Gene Crutchfield and her brothers William in and Hartley Huntsman.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Doris’s memory to Carpenter Street Baptist Church, Moberly.

Words of comfort and support were shared with the family at a visitation held at the Cater Funeral Home Chapel, followed by funeral services honoring and celebrating Doris’s life.  A Private committal took place at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery.
