Donna Koenig

Donna Marie Koenig, 62, of Moberly formerly of Higbee, passed away peacefully October 11, 2021,with her family by her side.  She was born September 29, 1959, in Higbee, MO to Eugene and Norma (Monzyk) Koenig. She raised two children Jennifer and Jonathan Koenig with the support of her family.

She is survived by her children Jennifer Christy and her husband Michael and Jonathan Koenig, grandchildren, Kayla Watters, Katelin and Kameron Christy, Cole Koenig, and Cody Gunnels, 2 great-grandchildren, a sister Deanna O’Brien and her husband Bill, 2 brothers Danny Koenig and his wife Lindy and Dennis Koenig,  nephews and nieces all of whom she loved and touched deeply.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers David and Dewayne Koenig.

She loved to love people. and enjoyed frequent hugs and often reminded people that she loved them. She always enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Donna enjoyed crocheting, coloring, word searches, cards, watching Hallmark movies, and listening to music and loved to share everything, especially with her roommate.

Her greatest contribution to this world was her children. She believed that they were a perfect example of her favorite Bible verse, Ephesians 4:32 — “And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ.”

Public services honoring and celebrating Donna’s life were held in the Cater Funeral Home Chapel.  Private Committal will be held at a later date.
