Donald Eugene "Don" Ryherd

Donald Eugene Ryherd Sr., 75 of Madison, Mo. passed away Thursday April 28th, 2022 He was born Oct 24th, 1946 to Billie Dee and Anna Marie Ryherd in Alta, Ia. He married Jill Anderson on July 1st, 1966 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Ia.

Donald retired from John Deere in Waterloo, Ia. in his spare time, he enjoyed gardening, planting trees and flowers, he also had a hatchery and raised Dorper sheep. He enjoyed showing his chickens and sheep and received many first place ribbons. His favorite thing about farming was plowing, just to watch the dirt turn over. 

During retirement Don and Jill became winter Texans and loved every minute of it.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters.

He is survived by his wife Jill, three children, Donald jr. Butch (Tonya) Ryherd, Dean (Kara) Ryherd, Dale (Wendy) Ryherd, five grandchildren Amanda Ryherd, Katie (Tanner) Hulst, Mathew Ryherd, Kassie Ryherd, and Baylor Ryherd and one great granddaughter Everly Hulst, four siblings, Bill (Geri) Ryherd, Charlie (Pat) Ryherd, Sara (Arlo) Lorenzen, and Kenny (Kate) Ryherd and many nieces and nephews.

Words of comfort and support were shared with the family at a visitation that was held in the Cater Funeral Home Chapel.  Funeral services honoring and celebrating Donald’s life followed.
