Delora B. Smith of rural Moberly passed away, Monday January 8, 2024. She was born March 25, 1933, at home in Randolph County, Missouri, to Luther “Buck” and Rose Belle (Wallace) Wilson.
Delora married William Price Smith, December 21, 1949, in Moberly, Missouri, and he preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were her parents, two grandchildren, Jason Wade Minks, Cheryl Lynn Minks Dennis, one grandson, Jordan Lee McSparren, a sister, Alva Lee Hendren, and a brother, Thomas Allen Wilson.
Survivors include two daughters, Rose H. Oberbeck and husband, William F., of Port Charlotte, Florida, and Nancy A. Schofield and husband, Charles V., of Madison, Missouri, one son, William Price Smith of Salisbury, Missouri, eight grandchildren, nine great- grandchildren, nine great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, numerous cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Words of comfort and support were shared with the family at the visitation which was held at Cater Funeral Home. Funeral services honoring and celebrating Delora’s life were held at the Cater Funeral Home Chapel. Private committal prayer and burial were in the Sugar Creek Cemetery.
