He was preceded in death by his parents and his step father Sam Embree.

In his younger years Danny could often be found at the ball fields playing softball. As he got older you could find him with his son Toby deer and turkey hunting at Thomas Hill or at the park with a fishing pole in hand. Dan was a huge supporter of The Moberly Greyhounds, St. Louis Cardinals, Kansas City Chiefs, and Missouri Tigers. He could never go on an outing without running into someone he knew. Becoming Papa to his grandkids was his greatest joy. Dan knew how to spoil them and he was known to brag on them if he caught your ear.
A memorial visitation where family and friends where encouraged to share stories about Daniel was held at the Cater Funeral Home. A private committal will take place later.
