Obituary
Corbin A. Newcomb, 92, of Moberly, passed away, Wednesday, February 19, 2025. He was born March 20, 1932, in Woodward, OK. to the union of Walter R., Sr and Nina L. (Williams) Newcomb.
He grew up on the family farm west of Woodward and loved to fish and hunt. He attended Tangier school from first grade through 12th grade, graduating in 1950.
He is survived by his sisters, Betty Ruth Newcomb Adams and Jane LaRue Newcomb Hightower both of Oklahoma, great granddaughter Abigail Chason, great grandson Corbin Chason, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Billie Jean Newcomb, a brother, Walter Ray Newcomb, Jr, 2 sons, Stephen Corbin and Rodney Newcomb, stepson Kent Schones, granddaughter Stephanie Chason and grandson Justin Schones.
Words of comfort and support were shared with the family at a visitation, held at the Cater Funeral Home Chapel, followed by services honoring and celebrating Corbin’s life. Committal prayer and burial took place in Oakland Cemetery.
