Obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Clarence Dale Brand 83, of Moberly, MO. Our beloved Husband, Dad, Grandpa, cherished friend and mentor to many.

Dale was born, August 1st, 1941, in Glasgow, Missouri to Clarence and Stella (Stockman) Brand. He attended Glasgow High School, where he excelled in Baseball & Basketball.

After graduating from Glasgow High School in 1959, Dale attended Truman University in Kirksville, MO. Shortly after he moved to St Charles, MO and embarked on his lifetime love of Concrete work. In the late 1960’s Dale Moved back to Moberly, MO and 1981 Dale started Randolph County Foundation Co, and in 1996 opened M&B Pumping, which was renamed in 2005 after his favored work nick name of Porky’s Concrete Pumping Services. He continued to run and operate both businesses until 2019, when Jason & Jeff took over as the 2nd generation operators.   Over the years, he made significant contributions to his field, earning the respect and admiration of his peers. Dale's dedication, integrity, and passion for concrete work were evident in all he did.

Dale was known for his compassionate heart and generous spirit. He found great joy in fishing, duck, deer & turkey hunting, The Kansas City Chiefs and The St Louis Cardinals. His greatest joy was watching his children & grandchildren’s achievements.  He was an active & lifetime member of Ducks Unlimited, NWTF, Whitetails Unlimited, and being a part of the Knights of Columbus. Dale's kindness, laughter, and unwavering support touched the lives of many, creating lasting memories that will be cherished forever.

Dale is survived by his loving wife of the home, Jean (Hess), his beloved children, Jeff & Dawn Brand of Moberly, MO, and Jason & Ashly Brand of Excello, Mo. Grandchildren Lexie Brand of Chesterfield, MO, Archer, Stella & Gunner Brand of Excello, MO. Nieces & Nephews.  Dale was proceeded in death by his parents Clarence & Stella Brand, Two Sisters & Brother In-Laws: Margie Nolke & Husband Dondald, Mary Athyln and husband Gene, and one Granddaughter Nola Brand.

Though Dale is no longer with us, his spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be remembered for his enduring love of life, family, friends, and the remarkable legacy he has left behind.  Friends and family are invited to come together to honor Dale’s memory and share stories.

Words of comfort and support may be shared with the family at a visitation to be held at the Cater Funeral Home, Monday, February 17, 2025, 4pm – 7 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, February 18, 2025, 11 am at the St. Pius X Catholic Church, Moberly, A private committal prayer and burial is scheduled.
