Cathy Lynn

Cathy Jean Lynn, age 76, of Moberly, Missouri, passed away on September 26, 2025. She was born on April 2, 1949, in Moberly, where she lived her entire life.

Cathy enjoyed playing cards, shopping, and spending time visiting with her friends and family. Family occasions and casual conversations were generally sprinkled with stories of her childhood and the years raising her three children. She was widely known to be humorous and witty with a warm heart and steady dedication to those she loved. She spent most of her working years as a bookkeeper and retired from MackPro in Moberly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Roland and Esther Fern (Stack) Hummel; her brother Richard Hummel; and her sisters Judy Johnson and Carol Aholt.

She is survived by her sisters Jeanette Naylor and Cheryl Kurtz; her sister-in-law Joy Hummel; her brother Kenny Hummel and wife Bobbie; her children, David Lynn and wife Michelle, Travis Lynn and wife Christine, and Tracy Walker; grandchildren Tanner Lynn and wife Alyssa, Trevor Lynn, Thomas Smith, Zoey Lynn, Kirsten Birdsong, Annika Parrish, and Mindy Derboven and husband James; as well as nine great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Cathy’s family and friends will remember her for her kindness, her sense of humor, and her love for simple joys in life.

In accordance with her wishes, no services will be held.
