Carolyn Jane Koffman of Moberly, Missouri, went to the Lord November 12, 2023. She was born January 5, 1933 in Maryville, Missouri, daughter of Leon Joshua Canon and Harriet Morton Canon. In 1952, she married John Hassell Koffman in Maryville, Missouri. She had four children, five grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.
Her early ambition in life was to be a wife and mother. Carolyn was a strong supporter of her husband's causes and enjoyed being involved in her children’s many activities. She was a Cub Scout leader, PTA president, Bible School teacher, and Sunday School teacher. Carolyn was a member of First Baptist Church of Moberly, P.E.O. (51 years), Pachyderms, and FBC quilting club. She was involved with the Missouri Baptist Children's Home and was an artist.
Carolyn was a lifelong believer in her savior Jesus Christ and the one who sent Him. She witnessed that belief to her children and those around her.
She is survived by her children, Robert L. Koffman and wife Doris of Sedalia, MO; John P. Koffman and wife Julee of Casper, WY; and Jennifer L. Robinett and husband Eugene of Springfield, MO. She also leaves a sister, Suellyn Smith of Oklahoma City, OK and a brother, Jack Canon of Peak, SC. Carolyn is also survived by her beloved grandchildren Emily Claunch and husband Donnie; Loren Koffman and wife Lisa; John Koffman and wife Rebecca; Kathryn Farris and husband Christopher; Alex Ochoa and husband Christian; great-grandchildren Ethan and Brody Claunch; Bryson and Aubrey Koffman; Lily Ochoa; Charlotte and Clara Farris; Ellen, Owen, and Leanna Koffman. She was preceded in death by husband, John; her father and mother, Leon and Harriet Canon; her son William W. Koffman; her sisters Phyllis Pauls, Betty Jo Craft, Janice Cornet; and her brother Leon Edward "Bud" Canon.
Memorial Gifts in Carolyn's name may be made to the Missouri Baptist Children's Home, 11300 St. Charles Rock Rd, Bridgeton, MO 63044.
The Service was officiated by Pastor Brian Veal. Serving as casketbearers were, Robert Koffman, John P. Koffman, Eugene Robinett, John C. Koffman, Loren Koffman, and Christopher Farris.
Words of comfort and support were shared with the family at a visitation that was held at the First Baptist Church, Moberly, followed by funeral services honoring and celebrating Carolyn’s life. Committal prayer and burial took place at the Oakland Cemetery.
