Obituary

Bruce Smith, 62, of Moberly, passed away Friday, November 27, 2020. He was born October 12, 1958 in Richmond, MO to Bobby and Betty (Adkisson) Smith. His family moved to Bushnell, IL, where Bruce spent his childhood and teen years. Bruce moved to Moberly in 1975 and graduated from Moberly Senior High School in 1976.

Bruce devoted his life to service industries, including management and being a chef. Before his illnesses, he was an avid runner and cyclist. He was very keen on word puzzles and writing poetry.

He is survived by a daughter Cassandra, sister-in-law Susan Smith, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends including Paul Fusselman who Bruce thought of as a brother.

He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers; Bob, Bill, Barry, and Brady.

Services honoring Bruce’s life were held in the Cater Funeral Home Chapel. Private Committal prayer and burial will be held at a later date.
