Bonnie Marie Kisor, 94, died, Saturday, May 23, 2025 at Aspire Senior Living in Moberly, Missouri. She was born August 4, 1931 in Cairo, Missouri to Bert and Eva Lena Shoaf. Bonnie graduated from Renick High School in 1948 and Moberly Junior College in 1950. She taught a couple of years in Macon County country schools where she met Roger Kisor. They were married June 1, 1952 and moved to the Renick area in 1954. Roger and Bonnie celebrated fifty years of marriage in 2002.
Bonnie taught at Grimes School and then sixth grade at Bradley in the Moberly Public Schools until her retirement. She was active at New Hope Methodist Church and in later years, at Timberlake Christian Church. Bonnie loved music and participated in countless weddings and funerals both as a singer and organist. She served on the Little Dixie Regional Library, Missouri Retired Teachers Association, Randolph County Extension, 4-H, Daughters of American Revolution, and many other organizations throughout the years.
Bonnie is survived by her daughter, Linda Bondy and husband John of Moberly, Missouri; grandchildren, Wesley (Laura) Bondy, Basehor, Kansas, Amanda (Dan) Burton, San Diego, California, and Hannah Tarango of San Diego, California; great-grandchildren, Esther Bondy, James Bondy, Evan Burton, Eli Burton, Embry Burton, and Bryce Tarango. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Judith Ann Kisor, husband, Roger James Kisor, parents, Bert and Eva Shoaf, brother, Orville Shoaf, and sister, Carol Mettes.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Rooted 242, Randolph County Historical Society, or Randolph County Ministerial Alliance benevolence fund.
Words of comfort and support wete shared with the family at a visitation held at the Cater Funeral Home Chapel, followed by funeral services honoring Mrs. Kisor’s life. . Committal prayer and burial took place at the New Hope Church Cemetery, Clark, Missouri.
